The Advanced Electrochemical Materials Section at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC is seeking qualified and motivated Postdoc candidates with expertise in electrochemistry and materials science. The candidate will support projects aimed at development of NRL-pioneered porous-carbon electrodes for applications in water purification (e.g., capacitive deionization) and energy storage (e.g., Li/Na-S batteries). Experience with fundamental electrochemical measurements, material synthesis and characterization, and fabrication/testing of laboratory-scale devices is desirable. Candidate will work on both individual and team projects in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment with senior and junior staff scientists, fellow postdocs, and undergraduate interns.
