Henry White will receive the 2015 ECS Allen J. Bard Award at the upcoming Chicago ECS meeting.  The award was established in 2013, is given in odd-numbered years only, and Henry is the first awardee.  The award recognizes distinguished contributions to electrochemical science, particularly "for paradigm shifting contributions in the fields of electrochemical science" and "for exceptionally creative experimental or theoretical studies that have opened new directions in electroanalytical chemistry or electrocatalysis”. "We congratulate Henry for this wonderful recognition," said Gary Rubloff, director of the NEES program, "Most of you know Henry as the leader in electrochemistry that he is,  NEES is fortunate to have him on the Advisory Board in NEES-1 and now as a PI in NEES-2.  Even with his responsibilities as Dean of the College of Science at Utah, Henry shares his time and commitment to NEES, relating to multiple thrust areas and hosting our upcoming spring meeting."
